Christian Baumgarten Appointed as General Manager of the Hotels du Castellet
L'Hôtel & Spa du Castellet, a Relais & Châteaux property located in the Var, and the Grand Prix Hôtel & Restaurant are pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Baumgarten as the new General Manager.
With extensive experience in luxury hospitality, his arrival marks a new milestone in the development of our establishments, highlighting expertise in both hospitality and gastronomy.
An Inspiring Career Path
Christian Baumgarten, 54, of German nationality, was born in Geneva. He began his career in Germany before moving to France, where he worked in prestigious establishments on the French Riviera, such as the Hôtel Martinez and the Croisette Beach Hôtel. In 2008, he joined Relais & Châteaux Le Mas de Pierre as Deputy General Manager before being promoted to General Manager. In 2017, he took over the management of the Hôtel Miramar and Yaktsa, two 5-star hotels in Théoule-sur-Mer, where he also oversaw the L’Or Bleu restaurant, awarded a Michelin star.
